Gábor Farkas has been appointed as Brand Manager of Ganz Intelligent Solutions, launched in 2022, by Ganz Transformers and Electric Rotating Machines Ltd. The appointment of Gábor Farkas, formerly the company’s Strategic Purchaser, will contribute to the further development of the monitoring system, the digitalization efforts of the transformer manufacturing industry and support the company’s partners to have reliable, efficient and sustainable assets. 

With plans to further develop Intelligent Solutions and to support the industry’s digitalization efforts, Ganz Transformers and Electric Rotating Machines Ltd. appointed Gábor Farkas as Brand Manager of the intelligent monitoring system in early 2023. Gábor Farkas has been employed by the heavy machinery manufacturer since 2012, during which time he has held various engineering and purchasing positions. This has included tasks such as securing the supply chain in the critical 202022  period and building the network of partners needed to develop the monitoring system.

Through his appointment and new position, the specialist with many years of professional experience will help Ganz’s customers and partners to gain a deeper understanding of the role of Intelligent Solutions, the benefits as well as services offered by the monitoring system’s available packages tailored to their needs. He can also play a decisive role in the digitalization of the transformer manufacturing industry and thus in the green turn of the energy industry. 

As a result of its R&D activities, in autumn 2022, the Hungarian company launched Ganz Intelligent Solutions, a digital monitoring system developed in collaboration with the German company Maschinenfabrik Reinhausenprovides a complete picture of the status of transformers as a centralized monitoring system, enabling, among other things, condition-based maintenance. Following the official launch, the heavy equipment manufacturer has successfully delivered the first three intelligent transformers to its Swedish, Estonian and Hungarian customers for a total value of more than HUF 960 million. The significant market demand for Ganz Intelligent Solutions is demonstrated by the fact that the company expects to deliver a further 18 transformers equipped with the monitoring system to domestic and international renewable energy market players by the end of this year.

With Intelligent Solutions, the company aims to bring the benefits of digitalization to the widest possible target group within the industry, and will henceforth only produce intelligent transformers for its partners and customers. At the same time, Ganz also offers a solution for the digitalization modernization of existing transformer parks, regardless of the manufacturer. In the long run, the company wants to strengthen its role, which goes beyond the production of intelligent transformers and includes the Rotating machinery and the Service division as well.
